Drury University: International Support Services

About International Support Services

International Support Services (ISS) provides essential support services to international students ranging from immigration advising to cultural adjustment. ISS also provides internationalization activities and programmatic opportunities to the Drury and Springfield Community to promote and celebrate global education.

The office is committed to providing you the best possible services and support both while you are on campus, and after you graduate. We are your advocates, striving to ensure that you are always understood, supported, and welcome here at Drury.

COVID-19 Updates

March 31

Dear students,

The CEO of Cox Health is asking for our help in supporting the Springfield community’s COVID-19 response. As a result, we will be closing the Panther Clinic effective today so that healthcare workers can be redeployed to assist with those who have been most severely impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

For any students, faculty, or staff experiencing COVID-19 type symptoms, you can take advantage of the free virtual evaluations being offered by Cox Health.

For all other health-related issues, you should go to:

Cox Family Medical Care Clinic (FMCC) at Cox North
1423 N. Jefferson
(417) 269-8817

Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday. The clinic is closed Saturday and Sunday. You will need to present your Drury ID and proof of insurance.

We appreciate your flexibility as our community – here at Drury and throughout Springfield - continue to work together to do the best we can to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

March 16

Dorms and housing will continue to be staffed, food options will continue to be available and your medical coverage will remain in full effect. As of right now, the plan is to move all instruction online as of March 30. Online classes will continue through April 17. Everyone will be notified no later than April 12 if we will resume in-person classes or remain online.

If you decide to return home, please follow these steps:

  1. Please see Barry Armstrong or Dr. Tom Russo to have your I-20 travel authorization block signed. If time is not available, please email or call and we’ll find a way to accommodate you.
  2. Please email each of your professors for permission and support to complete the remainder of the semester from afar.
  3. Please check out of housing/dorms by either using the normal check out procedures, or at least bring your key after you’ve cleared your room and sign the release form. I’ve attached the express checkout and key return instructions above.
