Admission Requirements

Please complete the steps below for admission consideration at Drury University.

  1. Complete the official Drury University application for admission online.

  2. Request your high school counseling office to send an official high school transcript of all work completed or in progress (at least six semesters of secondary school credit) and all available academic, aptitude and achievement test scores to the Drury University Admission office.

  3. Take either the College Entrance Examination Board Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Test (ACT) . Then request the scores to be sent to Drury University.

  4. Complete the required essay as indicated on the Drury University application form or a writing sample of personal significance.

    The definition of ‘Go Beyond’ is: to do more than the expected; to go further than was required; to go past.

    Drury students Go Beyond in myriad ways both inside and outside the classroom. Students engage in research, internships, service projects and other experiential activities, transforming themselves while also making a tangible difference in the college community and greater Springfield.

    Minimum length is 250 words, typed single or double space.

    Please choose one of the following essays:

    Option 1: Explain a time that you have gone beyond and left an impact on a group, person and/or the world around you. What did you do? Who or what did you change?

    Option 2: Predict how you will Go Beyond the typical college experience at Drury? What will you do? Who will you influence or impact?

    Option 3: Personal Statement
